Fireflies pricing, and the part that is not a seat price
Fireflies charges per seat like everyone else, starting at $10 a month on annual billing. The thing that catches people out is the second currency. Even on paid plans, the AI features run on a monthly credit allowance, and a heavy user can run out before the month does.

Is Fireflies free? There is a free tier, and it is the thinnest here
Fireflies has a free plan and it will transcribe meetings, but it runs on a limited pool of transcription credits rather than an unlimited allowance, and it leaves out the app and CRM integrations that are most of the reason teams pick Fireflies in the first place.
The credit idea does not stop at the free tier, and this is the part worth understanding before you pay. The AI features, things like asking questions of your calls and pulling out highlights, consume credits on paid plans too. Pro gets 20 a month and Business gets 30. Use them up and you buy more.
That is not a trick, and Fireflies documents it. It does mean the advertised seat price is a floor rather than a ceiling if your team leans hard on the AI features.

- You do not want a second currency to keep an eye on. There are no credits here.
- Your audio should not leave your machine. Transcription runs on the device.
- You want your notes as plain markdown files in a folder you chose.
- You query your whole meeting history from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Codex over MCP.
