Short version: the Ghosty Notes app keeps your meetings on your device. In free mode nothing leaves your Mac. This website only stores the details you choose to give us, such as a waitlist email.

1. The app

In free / local mode, Ghosty Notes processes everything on your device. We do not receive your audio, transcripts, notes, or usage data. There is no account and no telemetry.

In Pro mode, two things change. Your calendar is synced through the provider you connect (Google or Microsoft), and the text of a meeting may be sent to the AI model you select to generate summaries or answer questions. Your audio never leaves your device in any mode. Model providers used by our hosted relay operate under terms that prohibit training on your content.

2. This website

If you join the waitlist, we store your email address (through Encharge, our email tool, and GoHighLevel, our CRM) to send you the download link and occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We use Encharge's website analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. This places a cookie or similar identifier in your browser and records the pages you view and actions such as signing up. We do not sell your information, and we do not use third-party advertising networks.

3. Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never see or store your full card details.

4. What we never do

  • We never sell your personal data.
  • We never train AI models on your meetings.
  • We never upload your meeting audio.

5. Sub-processors

For the website and Pro features we rely on a small number of providers: Encharge (email and website analytics), GoHighLevel (CRM), Stripe (payments), and, if you use Pro, your chosen calendar and AI model providers. Each processes only what is needed for its function.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access or delete any personal data we hold about you (such as your waitlist email). Because your meeting notes live on your own disk, you control those directly - delete the files and they are gone.

7. Changes

We will update this page if our practices change, and revise the date above.
