Import
Settings, Data. Ghosty Notes can read four sources.

A source only appears if its files are actually on this Mac. If you never installed Granola, or you installed it on a different machine, there is nothing to point at and the row does not show. That is not an error.
How an import runs
- Pick a source. The screen shows the folder it found, and can reveal it in Finder so you can confirm it is the right one.
- Scan. Ghosty Notes reads the source without changing it and counts what it found.
- Preview. You see the counts before anything is written: meetings, notes, transcripts, people, organisations, tags and templates.
- Confirm. Only now is anything written into your vault.
Nothing is deleted from the app you are importing from. The import only reads.
JSON import
For anything the three named sources do not cover. Point it at a collection file and its contents are brought across as they are, with no source-specific translation.
Export
Export is per note, not on the Data screen. Open a meeting, use the overflow menu in the header, and choose Export.

You may not need to export at all. Your notes are already Markdown files on your own disk. See notes and files for where they live and how to point the app at an Obsidian vault.
